The Church of Central Africa Presbyterian Students’ Organization (CCAPSO), is a denominational students' organization operated by the Blantyre Synod in Malawi. CCAPSO was established by Synod of Blantyre from what used to be called Polytechnic Presbyterian Organisation (PPO) and Presbyterian Youth Organization (PYO) at The Polytechnic in Blantyre and Chancellor College in Zomba respectively both of them being the constituent Colleges of the University of Malawi. The PPO and PYO were organizations that had been set up unofficially by the students themselves, out of their own initiative in order to fulfill certain objectives that the students themselves identified as being missing in the presbyterian family.
The CCAP Blantyre Synod was inspired to establish CCAPSO by the students themselves, particularly by those from The Polytechnic and Chancellor College, who had for a long time been appealing for recognition by the Synod to officially recognize the Presbyterian Youth Organization, grant it mandate of operation and freely pursue the quest for reaching out to those who have not been born again.
